So I found out that one of my friends who I played volleyball with my freshman year at Snow tried out for "So You Think You Can Dance". She can't dance at all but she just did it to be silly. She wasn't serious and you have to know her personality. But this is a clip of her after she got cut! LOL she is such a dork and I love it! Tall people rock LOL!

New Baby River!

My friend Cherie had her baby a couple weeks ago! He is so cute and is so blonde! They named him River Craig Ball. He came a little early, he wasn't suppose to come till after the shower we were throwing her but he came before! She was already home from the hospital for a couple days! It was perfect though cause we got to see the little guy! It is so weird that my friends Cherie and Brock are parents! I went to high school with both of them and I just remember when they were first dating! Time flies! The shower was so much fun and it was great to get back together with good friends!

Spandex, Spandex, Spandex!

So I suited up again (in spandex that is!) Weber State had an Alumni game and invited me to come play! I am getting so old, it is weird! I remember playing the alumni when I was on the team! But it was a blast and the Weber girls look like they are going to do well this year! So here are some pics from the game! Sorry that I don't look as good in my spandex as I once did! It was so weird getting back into them and playing on that court! O the Memories!

We ALWAYS had to sing our school fight song after our games and I always hated it. So we get done with the game and the weber girls start singing and then Al (weber coach) says, "alumni sing too!" Hallelujah!!!!

So as you all know I hate my apartment where we live. It is soooo frustrating because it is so loud and sometimes I just can't handle it! The people above us not only are ridiculously noisy themselves but their AC went out so they have a huge fan that vibrates all the way down to us! It is just a constant loud noise that sounds like a plane is landing on our roof! PLUS>>>>> they have cats and ever since their AC went out we get a gross smell coming down through the vents! NASTY! I am very very OCD about how my house smells and it is killing me right now.
So I am so excited that our lease is up at the end of the month and we are FINALLY MOVING!!! We are moving to Layton and I can't wait. It is a much nicer place and it has a pool, hot tub, and fitness center. So right now our place is in shambles. Because we have boxes everywhere and are packing up so all the work that I did to make my place "homie"(sp?) and comfortable is not there. So this might be a long couple of weeks but it is worth it to get out of there!
I feel like it will be a new start and I am getting all of these new goals already in my mind for when I move. Here are just a few....
1. daily scripture study
2. try cooking new and different meals every night!
3. don't eat out as much
4. work hard for my vball girls
5. budget
6. be the best wife
7. figure out or invent someway to make my hair grow faster!:)
8. and get my body to look like this....not too hard right??? LOL

I guess I better invent a way to get a bigger chest too:)

Tis The Season

So it is officially volleyball season and since the 7th grade volleyball is what I have done every single fall. Last year was my first season out of my college career of volleyball. It was really sad and mostly weird that I wasn't doing what I have done for past 9 years straight of my life! It was a good rest for me but here comes another season and what I am I going to do? Now I am getting back into volleyball NO I AM NOT GOING PROFESSIONAL OR TO THE OLYMPICS (LOL). I am coaching the Clearfield High School JV team. I am really excited and nervous all at the same time. Last week we started with conditioning and open gyms. That was a piece of cake I would have the girls run and then we would just go play around in the gym. It wasn't a lot of pressure and it was fun to help the girls. But today was officially tryouts and I HAD TO CUT GIRLS!! I have never done anything like that and it was reallly hard for me to do. I had to cut about 7 girls and tomorrow is 2nd cuts and I have to cut about 3 more! I seriously don't think I will be able to sleep tonight. I don't know why I am so worried about it, but I just hate to make people sad and it is not that I don't believe that the girls have potential. The fact is there is only a certain number of girls who can be on the team. For the past week I was really working hard with the girls who weren't as experienced to try to get them up to the next level but you can't pick up on something like this without a lot of practice. I just felt so bad today because the girls I cut were the ones I was mostly working with last week. It will be good and I know this is my first coaching experience where I actually have to cut girls and I know I will get over it. It has just kinda bothered me today as I left the gym knowing that those sweet girls who were trying so hard and woke up early in the morning all last week to go run their little guts out on the track had to go home and tell their parents that they didn't make the team. It just breaks my heart that those girls probably feel like they are not good enough and are feeling down on themselves. I guess I just need to be a tougher coach and get over it. The sooner the better cause we have 2 tournaments in August and I have to get my team ready.
