Christmas Surprise......It's a GIRL

We are having a little baby GIRL!!!! We are so excited and wish she was here already. It seems a lot more "real" knowing the sex of the baby. We are going to name her Kaymbree K. Henry. Dan is so excited to have a "daddy's girl" that he can cuddle with all the time. He is going to be great with her. I am so excited to have my little best friend the rest of my life! Shopping trips, dance recitals, and teaching her snowboard when she is 5. All things that I can't wait for!

HENRY CHRISTMAS 2008

So I have been a little late on posting about Christmas this year. It was a blast with Dan's family in Orem. He has 11 kids in his family so it is always a full house with all the adults and little neices and nephews. We had so much fun eating way too much delicious food and playing games. I am so grateful for Dan's family and how great they are! Here are pictures of our Christmas and you can see how cute everyone is! I just couldn't stop snapping pictures (just wait till I have my own kid!!)

Temple Square..Brrrrrr

So this year is considered an "off" year for my side of the family and an "on" year for Dan's side. Everyone in my family is spending the Christmas holiday with their in-laws. So we did have a little get together in Salt Lake for a night to exchange gifts and have a short Christmas party. So my family came down from Idaho and we went and saw the Temple Square lights. We had so much fun together and then went and ate some dinner. I love all my cute little nieces and nephews they are so fun to hangout with....they make me laugh! It was fun to see all my sisters and just be with my family. Because we are so spread out we don't see each other as much as I would like. So here are lots of pictures of our COLD night at Temple Square!

Ward Christmas Party Luau!

We had our ward Christmas party this week and it was a luau! It was a blast. We are on the activities committee so as usual it was an event with the preparing, cooking, and cleaning. But it was really fun. The food was SO GOOD! We are in a married student ward so our parties are a big deal!!! LOL We love our wonderful ward and all of our friends. We had dancers perform and they were amazing. The best part was when they pulled up some boys from the audience to shake their hips!

Yep, Dan went up there and had a good time!

All the boys shaking it

Dan's solo......yes, he got into it!

Our new bishop! What a trooper!

Baby Poll

We are going to find out the gender of our baby on Christmas Eve! So I put a little poll on the side of my blog and I want everyone to vote. I just think it is really fun to see everyone's opinion on the baby's sex. Over Thanksgiving I took a poll on my whole family including the little neices and nephews. Right now it looks like 50-50. So let us know what you think we are having!

There is a Great Reunion Today!

The sweet apostle Joseph B. Wirthlin passed away last night, peacefully in his sleep. It is sad because he was such an amazing apostle for our church. He served the church for many, many years. He was 91 years old and still serving daily. He is such a good example for everyone and he has strengthened my testimony with his amazing talks. With this we mourn, but I am also so happy for him. Here is a clip from a KSL article:
"He served a mission in Switzerland in the late 1930s. After returning, he married Elisa Rogers.
The two were married for 65 years before Elisa died two years ago. Her passing, their son said, was the most difficult day of Elder Wirthlin's life, and he takes comfort in knowing his mother and father are together again. "There's a great reunion today," he said."
I just thought that was an amazing way to look at it. He is going to be with his eternal companion again. What a reunion that will be when they embrace on the other side of the veil. He will also have a great reunion with many other great people. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO CELEBRATE A LIFE! I just hope that I can live my life so when my time comes I can have a great reunion!

Christmas Spirit

So since I depressed most of you with my life in my previous post I need to lighten it up. I am so excited for Christmas this year! I love the holiday seasons and all the time with family and friends. I usually have a strict wait until the day after Thanksgiving to put up my Christmas tree.....but this year I made an exception! Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas! Thanks for all your comforting words and support!

My Heart Is Broken

My heart is broken, but it is being healed and comforted in many ways. We went to our second doctors appointment for our baby and hoping to find out the sex of the baby we were surprised when the doctor found something else..........TWINS! That's right we have identical twins in my belly. Unfortunately one little baby didn't make it and died 3 weeks ago. The doctor said that it had some heart problems and it wasn't developing right. So it is the body's natural way when something isn't developing right. Most miscarriages you don't know what wasn't developing right. Since this baby was 9 weeks when it died and won't leave my body the doctor can look at the baby with the ultrasound and tell me the exact problem. The other baby is perfectly healthy so far and is double the size now of the other baby. He checked for a sign of heart problems with the healthy baby and it doesn't look like it has any! I will carry both babies all through my pregnancy and when I deliver the healthy baby I will deliver my baby that didn't make it too. Because they are identical they share the same yok sac and blood supply so my body shouldn't want to miscarry the baby out of my body. I have to go get checked on by the doctor more frequently so he can make sure the healthy baby is doing fine with the other baby in there. And also that my body is handling the twins well. In the ultrasound I can see both babies. And in every ultrasound from here and until I deliver the baby, I will always be able to see that other baby in my body.

I just started to cry because my whole life I have wanted twins more than anything. I don't have any twins in my family and Dan has one sister with twins. I haven't ever been on fertility so I never thought it was possible for me to get twins. I won't get my twins in this life but I know I will get my twins in heaven. I am glad that the twins get to be together for another 6 months inside of me. And I still get some more time with my other baby too. And my baby will always have a special spirit or little twin guardian angel their whole life. And how amazing is it going to be when they meet again. This experience has been hard and I know it might get harder but it will be worth it when we are all together again. It makes me want to live my life more righteously so that I can make it to heaven with my baby. Things happen for a purpose and the Lord knows why it needed to be. I am so blessed with my amazing comforting husband. The spirit is also a strong comforter right now in my life. I am just so lucky and blessed that I have at least one healthy baby still on the way.

The doctor just kept apologizing that he didn't see the twins at the first appointment. I am so glad that he didn't because it would have been so much harder for me. I would have been so excited and expecting 2 babies. But I have only been expecting 1 baby and I still have 1 coming. So for that I am so grateful. I know this was suppose to happen and that I am suppose to grow through this trial. I am so blessed for my sacred temple marraige and my eternal family. I am grateful that I know my baby is with my Heavenly Father right now and that when the day comes I will go to heaven and see the Lord holding my baby. The Lord will give me a hug and let me hold my baby for the first time!

Sorry this post is so long. It is therapy for me to write this. It is hard for me to talk about and I have been in tears the whole time I have been writing. Thanks for letting me share a very private and hard part of my life with you.

Volleyball Champs! You Know It!

So we just dominated in the Layton City Championship game tonight! Plus we got the ugliest orange shirts to prove it! How hard is it to pick out cute shirts? Obviously they were crazy when they designed these! But the VICTORY is what matters! We have 3 pregnant girls on our team too and we still dominated every team in the league! I love playing volleyball and I am sad that this season is over but we have next season! Don't you think my white pasty legs look so sexy in this picture? LOL.......... I am so embarrassed!

I Am Spoiled!!

So my sweet husband is so good to me. He had a to go to Phoenix for work this past weekend. He had a big convention to go to at this amazing Hilton Resort and he booked me to go with him. So we flew out Wednesday and left the 39 degree rainy weather behind us! We had an amazing suite and we were vacationing in style. I would sleep in and then get up and go to the pool, while Dan woke up and went to the convention and did work (see why I am so spoiled!) He would get breaks in the day when he would come visit me. We would order lunch poolside and have it come to our layout chairs. But my husband did have a blast. He got to golf in a tournament with his work at an amazing golf course in Phoenix. His team got second place and he did really well. Most of all he was just thrilled to get to golf at this great course! Then we had a big Western Barbeque with the convention and it was so fun. It was the whole western setup there! The food, the western town, the music, and the games. They had a draw game, hatchet throwing, chipping, ring toss, roping, and so much more. The barbeque ended the convention and then my husband booked us at another amazing resort in Scottsdale for another night! So we went and rented a brand new ford mustang and drove our car to the Valley Ho resort where again we were treated like royalty. We went to In-N-Out twice while we were there and it was sooo good! My husband was so sweet to me to bring me along. It was really nice because we pretty much used our "points" for my flight, the car, and the resort so it ended up being a cheap trip too! Thanks honey for taking me and for all your hard work! You are the best husband ever!

I am so lucky that I have such a wonderful husband. He is going to be such a good dad and he is SO EXCITED! I am also very excited and scared to be a mom. I hope that I will do a good job, and I am just so thankful that the Lord blessed me with a baby! We will keep you posted throughout the pregnancy! I can also join the blogging baby ticker club! LOL

So last October I threw a Scentsy party and it was a big hit. It is a perfect time to get great gifts for family and friends for Christmas. These are also great for people you have no clue what to get, because everyone likes good smells! So a couple of my friends were just asking me when I was going to have another party. So I guess it is going to be an annual thing for me now! They have the CUTEST warmers with awesome Fall/Winter smells. I am a little obsessed with my house smelling good and there is just something about the holiday smells. I love the cozy feel of coming home to a good smelling house! They just came out with these cute plug ins that are for small spaces like bathrooms. So if you are reading this you are invited to come to my scentsy party/open house on Monday Oct. 13th from 6-8pm . Just come over and smell the many different choices and have some good girl fun!
