Christmas Surprise......It's a GIRL

We are having a little baby GIRL!!!! We are so excited and wish she was here already. It seems a lot more "real" knowing the sex of the baby. We are going to name her Kaymbree K. Henry. Dan is so excited to have a "daddy's girl" that he can cuddle with all the time. He is going to be great with her. I am so excited to have my little best friend the rest of my life! Shopping trips, dance recitals, and teaching her snowboard when she is 5. All things that I can't wait for!

HENRY CHRISTMAS 2008

So I have been a little late on posting about Christmas this year. It was a blast with Dan's family in Orem. He has 11 kids in his family so it is always a full house with all the adults and little neices and nephews. We had so much fun eating way too much delicious food and playing games. I am so grateful for Dan's family and how great they are! Here are pictures of our Christmas and you can see how cute everyone is! I just couldn't stop snapping pictures (just wait till I have my own kid!!)

Temple Square..Brrrrrr

So this year is considered an "off" year for my side of the family and an "on" year for Dan's side. Everyone in my family is spending the Christmas holiday with their in-laws. So we did have a little get together in Salt Lake for a night to exchange gifts and have a short Christmas party. So my family came down from Idaho and we went and saw the Temple Square lights. We had so much fun together and then went and ate some dinner. I love all my cute little nieces and nephews they are so fun to hangout with....they make me laugh! It was fun to see all my sisters and just be with my family. Because we are so spread out we don't see each other as much as I would like. So here are lots of pictures of our COLD night at Temple Square!

Ward Christmas Party Luau!

We had our ward Christmas party this week and it was a luau! It was a blast. We are on the activities committee so as usual it was an event with the preparing, cooking, and cleaning. But it was really fun. The food was SO GOOD! We are in a married student ward so our parties are a big deal!!! LOL We love our wonderful ward and all of our friends. We had dancers perform and they were amazing. The best part was when they pulled up some boys from the audience to shake their hips!

Yep, Dan went up there and had a good time!

All the boys shaking it

Dan's solo......yes, he got into it!

Our new bishop! What a trooper!

I'll Pass This Year.......

So every year I always get my Christmas cards out. But this year I am just not really in the mood! I don't know if I am just lazy or what, but I decided to pass this year. So my Christmas card is just my header on my blog. Everyone just imagine that it came to you in the mail! Ha ha! Merry Christmas!!!!

Baby Poll

We are going to find out the gender of our baby on Christmas Eve! So I put a little poll on the side of my blog and I want everyone to vote. I just think it is really fun to see everyone's opinion on the baby's sex. Over Thanksgiving I took a poll on my whole family including the little neices and nephews. Right now it looks like 50-50. So let us know what you think we are having!

There is a Great Reunion Today!

The sweet apostle Joseph B. Wirthlin passed away last night, peacefully in his sleep. It is sad because he was such an amazing apostle for our church. He served the church for many, many years. He was 91 years old and still serving daily. He is such a good example for everyone and he has strengthened my testimony with his amazing talks. With this we mourn, but I am also so happy for him. Here is a clip from a KSL article:
"He served a mission in Switzerland in the late 1930s. After returning, he married Elisa Rogers.
The two were married for 65 years before Elisa died two years ago. Her passing, their son said, was the most difficult day of Elder Wirthlin's life, and he takes comfort in knowing his mother and father are together again. "There's a great reunion today," he said."
I just thought that was an amazing way to look at it. He is going to be with his eternal companion again. What a reunion that will be when they embrace on the other side of the veil. He will also have a great reunion with many other great people. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO CELEBRATE A LIFE! I just hope that I can live my life so when my time comes I can have a great reunion!
