General Conference April 2009

My dad had extra tickets to the 2pm Sunday Conference session and invited Dan and I to go. Neither of us have actually been to a General Conference so we were very excited. The Gospel is so amazing, and I am so blessed to have it in my life. It was wonderful to see how many people were there who love and support this church (plus the millions watching from home). We are so blessed to have a living modern day Prophet to lead us. I felt so comforted this conference by the words of hope and faith. No matter how hard these times might be, we must have faith. This last month I have really felt so blessed and overwhelmed with the comforting spirit. Going to conference was the cherry on top. Thanks dad for having us!

The Big 23!

So my birthday on St. Patricks! I turned 23 years old! It was a fun day and even though Dan was out of town he made my birthday great! He took me to lunch the day before and bought me new shoes, perfume, and a glider for our nursery! Then on my actual birthday my work friends brought me the cutest cake, balloons, and cards. Then we went bowling during lunch! It was so much fun to get out of the office and have some fun in the middle of the day! We played "goofy bowling" and were trying all these different ways to try and bowl. I had to go to a lighter bowling ball then I usually play with since I am pregnant and weak. Lets just say I was still sore the next day!

How do I feel now that I am 23? I can tell you I am starting to freak out a little. I am getting a lot closer to having my baby! I am due in the first of June and March is pretty much over. So I basically have April and May and she is going to be here! I am so excited for her to get here! To enjoy the summer with my little girl and kiss her cheeks a million times a day! But, I still have so much to do, and I know my life is going to change dramatically. I have always wanted to be a mom and I thought I was so ready. But at the same time I don't think you can ever be "really ready" for motherhood. Basically, what I am trying to say is I am getting a little scared. I have feelings of inadequacy and pure excitement at the same time. I don't know if it is my pregnancy emotions hitting me or what! But it is getting to be a surreal experience. I am in my 3rd trimester already!

Can't Wait!!!

Okay, so don't hate me because I like Britney Spears. Some people have their issues with her and even though I don't agree with her personal life and what she does..... I love her music!

I am so excited right now I had to blog about it! My girlfriends from Idaho and I would always listen to her while we were growing up. From her first CD all the way through my senior year in high school. I remember singing her songs while getting ready, at our memorable girls nights, or jamming out in the car. I have a lot of great memories with my friends and singing Britney Spears. Plus, I had to listen to "TOXIC" before every game my senior year for good luck! (I am very superstitious). I love her new CD that my sweet hubby got me for Christmas. So I am SO excited that we are all going to be going to her Circus Concert in April! We are making it an event and getting together for the good old times! The Pussycat Dolls are opening for her which will also be a blast to see them. Even though I will have my big belly I will be there singing every song (from the nose bleed section) like I am on American Idol!

VACATION

So my amazing hubby took me to San Diego this past week. We had a cruise scheduled but then we found out we couldn't go because you can't be past 20 weeks pregnant. So he wanted us to get away before our little girl got here so he planned this trip. How cute is he? We had such a fun time! My sister Katie and her husband came with us. We stopped in Vegas on the way. It was so good for us to get away from work! We needed a vacation!!! In San Diego we went to Sea World on Valentines Day. It was so much fun and the weather was great. We went to the ocean so my brother in law Parker could step one cold foot into the ocean! Dan was able to do some golfing which made him so happy. I did lots of shopping with my sister which of course was a good time! Then we went to a restaurant that was on the food network and it was really good pizza! While we were away we were blessed with another little nephew! So we stopped to say baby Trey who was born on Sunday 15th! He is so dang cute! Here are a lot of pictures of our busy life!

New Crib, New Job

So I know that I have been such a slacker with blogging lately! But I sort of got a new job and I have been slammed these past 3 weeks. The company I am a loan officer for was so busy with loans they needed extra help and they knew that I used to work in the closing department at my old company so they asked if I could help them full time. So because of the good interest rates, refinances, and good buyers market for purchases we have been swamped! Especially when it gets close to the end of each month it gets crazy!!! We funded 56 loans in less than 48 hours and wow was that stressful! I have been working a lot of overtime but it has been really good at the same time. I get to work next to one of my best friends Itzel and we just have a good time while we work together!

So I haven't had time to update my life especially since my life is pretty boring! I feel like all I blog about is my pregnancy but that is really what Dan and I are so excited for and all we think about! We bought a crib and it got her yesterday and we had it set up so fast. Unfortunately, we set it up in our living room so we could watch Seinfeld at the same time and when we were moving it back to the babies room it didn't fit!!! LOL so we had to take the front part off and put it back on! We were laughing pretty hard! But I LOVE LOVE the crib! Thanks Dan!

Here is a cute outfit that I had to buy the other day. (the picture doesn't do it justice) I love the little denim skirt with the pink leggings! The top says "daddy's little sweetheart!" So cute!!! Can't wait for her to get here!

Kellie Belly!!!!!

So here is my first official "belly picture". I just started growing this last week or so! It is so weird to me that I have a baby inside me and my belly is getting big! It is super exciting that I am half way there and 5 months pregnant! But yesterday I officially retired............my skinny jeans that is. We were out shopping and I was wearing my skinny jeans and I just couldn't take it anymore. Luckily, I was wearing a long shirt and I unbuttoned my pants! Dan was laughing at me, but it felt so good to have them unbuttoned. I wore them undone until I got home and got into some comfy sweats. Only time will tell when I will have to retire my regular jeans! I tried on about 3 different skirts today for church before I found one that I would be able to feel comfortable in for 3 hours. This is all really new to me but I better get used to it! I guess people can call me "Kellie Belly" now (even though I probably heard it enough in elementary school) LOL! I have been trying to hide my belly this last week and then it finally hit me......I am just going to flaunt my belly! Who cares if someone just thinks I am fat and not pregnant! LOL

As far as baby Kaymbree goes she is doing well. She is growing healthy and I am interested to go to our "targeted ultrasound" in February where they go into a lot of detail. So far the other baby inside hasn't negatively affected her. I am feeling great and just so happy that I am becoming a mother!
