Arizona Fun!

We were able to go on a trip to Arizona with Dan's brothers and their wives. It was so nice to get out of the cold weather and go to where the sun is! It was sad to leave the kids but so wonderful to have a fun time with the hubby and not to worry about the kids. We stayed at Tom and Brandy's family's condo and it was so beautiful. The pool was gorgeous and I wish I was still laying out instead of here in the snow! UGH! The brothers did lots of golfing and enjoyed spending time together. Tim lives in Cali so Dan and Tom don't get to go with him a lot. So they really enjoyed it. And us girls had fun laying out and getting some mani-pedis. What a wonderful vacation. Thanks Tom and Brandy for the hookup of the condo. It was so much fun to hangout with the family and dominating Dave & Busters!

A Typical Day at the Henry's

So this is what my typical day is at my house;

My cute chunky baby thinking mommy and sister are crazy ladies!

Kaymbree getting into stuff she shouldn't and enjoying making a mess!

Kennedy sucking her thumb. She gets upset when I pull out her thumb and puts her binky in!

My Girls

Today is a rainy day and I am so excited for spring and summer to get here already. I am so tired of being stuck inside. We are pretty much homebodies right now with a new baby and poor Kaymbree has been such a trooper. I just wanted to blog a little about my girls and their different personalities. First of all, they are so cute together. These sisters are best friends. Kennedy smiles when she sees Kaymbree. Kaymbree is always talking to the baby and wanting to give her kisses.

I know Kennedy looks even more huge than she already is when she is sitting on Kaymbree's lap. It is pretty funny. Kennedy is such a big baby. She is over 95%tile in height and weight. We often joke that we have a fat baby. But she is gorgeous and so much fun. And we love her chubby cheeks and legs. Her personality is really shining. She loves to smile and giggle. She lights up the room and she also eats all day long. So for me I am pretty much nursing all day long! Kennedy is sleeping so good. She pretty much sleeps through the night now and takes at least two good naps in the day. She is such a good baby with such a sweet heart. She has patience when I have to attend to Kaymbree. I love that she loves her mommy so much. She smiles and gets excited when she sees me. She will start to flap her arms and legs in excitement and it warms my heart. She also loves her daddy so much and her sister. But I think she loves me most! ha ha cause I have what she wants......food!

So most of you know that Kaymbree has the most out of control hair I have ever seen. She has the most beautiful curls. She gets these curls from her daddy. But man her hair is everywhere. I am always excited to see what I will get when I go and get her from her crib after sleeping. Cause she moves so much when she sleeps and sweats. So that makes more crazy hair and curls. Also, she doesn't love to keep her hair in when I do it. I do her hair at least 3-4 times a day because she pulls it out. So I was looking through some pictures to see if I could show you what I mean when I tell you her hair is out of control.

This picture above is my favorite. I have no idea what the black mark was on her face! I could never figure it out. Below is what Kaymbree does for comfort. She doesn't suck her thumb, she picks her lips. She does it to sooth herself and she will sometimes pick it so much it will bleed. So we always have chapstick for her and are trying to get her to stop. She doesn't do it all day, pretty much when she is watching tv, riding in the car, or going to bed. Plus her hair is kickin!

So Saturday morning we were dealing with the baby when I went to go find Kaymbree because she was quiet for a while I knew she was up to no good. She found a fun size Butterfinger Dan had on his night stand and already had half eaten. It was only 7:30 in the morning. So I just sat her in her high chair and let her finish it off. Probably the best morning of her life she was so excited. Breakfast of champions is what I feed my kids in the morning! ha ha

Our Scare

So the Wednesday after Kennedy's blessing she was really sick. So I took her to the doctor and they started freaking out to get oxygen on her. Then they called the ambulance to take us to Primary Children's Hospital within the first 5 minutes of my appointment. I just started to cry and didn't understand how she all the sudden went from being a little stuffed up to being rushed by ambulance to the hospital. But it was a severe case of RSV and it can turn really really fast. She was really struggling and I could tell she was working so hard to breath. It was the scariest ride of my life and lots of things rushed through my head. I couldn't imagine my life without my baby and my heart was hurting so bad. I felt helpless and like everything was my fault. In the ambulance they had to bag her (force air into her lungs) and give her breathing treatments. We were at Primary's for four days. She had severe RSV and her "nars" or nasal passages are very thin so anything that gets in them makes her struggle to breath. It was very scary but the experience made me count my blessings. I am so thankful for my family and that I can be with them forever no matter what. I am so thankful for a worthy priesthood holder of a husband who had given her a baby blessing a few days earlier and was able to give her a blessing at the hospital. I am thankful for fasting and prayers of family and friends. I am most of all thankful for Heavenly Father's comfort, answering our prayers, and healing baby Kennedy. She is so special to us and our family has grown so much closer to each other and the gospel through this experience. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. But I am thankful for the trials that we are put through and how we can learn and grow through them. Kennedy is almost fully recovered. We have been home for a little over a week now and she is still on oxygen while she sleeps. We are going to the doctor this week to see if she can be taken off of the oxygen. We are so blessed to have had wonderful support from our family and friends during this time. We are so thankful to everyone for helping, fasting, and praying for our little girl!

Dan gave a beautiful blessing for baby Kennedy. It was a very special day. Thank you to our family for coming and supporting us. We love you all so much! I am so thankful for the gospel in my life and and for the priesthood.
