Christmas Time!

We spent Christmas in Idaho this year with my family.  It is always a treat for us to go there and have my kids enjoy Christmas traditions the same way I did growing up.  And it is also fun to go to Dan's family for that reason too.  My little sister Katie and her family were there as well and we had a blast because she has two boys roughly the same ages as my girls.  Plus my dad makes us his delicious Prime Rib every Christmas dinner.  So it was to die for as usual and always special.  I realized I didn't get any pictures with everyone.  I am usually not wanting to annoy people by saying lets get a picture but looking back I really should have.  Next year I will be really annoying around the holidays with our family!

Christmas was on Sunday this year and it was good to go and sing and celebrate the birth of Christ in the Chapel for Christmas.  Love Christmas!

Kennedy Turns 1

So our baby Kennedy turned 1! I can't believe where time goes.  But she loves to swim so we had her party at the Layton Surf and Swim.  She had a blast and got her cake everywhere.  She is so special to us and has been through a lot in her first year of life. I know she is a fighter and a tough kid.

Kennedy at 1
She started to walk at 10.5 months old
At 1 she turned into a feisty little thing who lets you know what she wants
She became such a mama's girl right before her first birthday and does not do well with strangers. But she warms up to boys much more than girls.  And she loves to play with other kids.
She is tough and gets a beating from her older sister sometimes but she can hold her own.  And one day she will beat up Kaymbree I just know it!
Kennedy has 4 top teeth and 4 bottom teeth and I think her molars are starting to come in
We love our Kennedy!

Family Pictures

We got our family pictures done by my good friend and neighbor Selina Felt.  She is just starting up her own photography business and we are her second shoot ever. I can't believe how talented she is and what an amazing job she did. I just love them! She did so good because getting shots of my kids and my family is HARD!!! Thanks also to our other neighbor Jenna for coming to help make a fool of herself so my kids would smile and look at her. I think they turned out great and the colors were exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Selina!

Halloween ......Say Arrrrrr!

We were a family of pirates this year for Halloween. It was so much fun. I always wanted to have a family dress up together but I knew it would probably be the only time since kids get opinions when they get older. Kaymbree wanted to be a pirate so I figured Kennedy doesn't know and pirates are easy for mom and dad to dress up as too. So we went with it and had a blast. We went to our ward Halloween party and trunk or treat all dressed up. It was a lot of fun except Kennedy was deathly scared of Dan in his pirate wig and makeup. Kinda funny.
But on the actual Halloween Kaymbree was SO EXCITED to go trick or treating.  It was the first year that she understood what it was.  But the poor girl was sick and throwing up! But we took her down one street in our neighborhood and she would literally throw up between houses.  It was so sad to watch but she really wanted to go trick or treating still.  I felt so bad for her and now we can't wait for next year when she won't be sick and she can really enjoy it!

They are some dang cute pirates!

Kennedy's 1st Halloween!

Jenna and Jace won the costume contest in our ward.
Kaymbree wanted to hang out with them!
Say Arrrrr Matey!

Halloween is so much fun.  I just love it and it gets me excited for the upcoming holiday season.  It is even more fun when you have kids and a reason to dress up yourself!
